From Customization to Delight: Designing a Unique Pin Ordering Platform
Pin Depot is a company specializing in custom lapel pins, offering a wide range of options including soft enamel, cloisonné, die-struck, and more. They cater to businesses, organizations, and events, creating custom pins for promotional purposes, awards, or even collectibles. One of their standout features is their free design services, where their in-house team can turn even rough sketches into polished designs.
Our goal was to streamline the process for customers to choose the right pins, facilitate easy communication with artists for revisions, and provide efficient order tracking. Additionally, we aimed to make the UI both fun and user-friendly, ensuring an engaging and enjoyable experience throughout the customization journey.

To initiate the redesign for Pin Depot, we saw the website as a crucial touchpoint for engaging users, so we introduced new sections highlighting Pin Depot’s custom pin offerings, design process, and company background. Additionally, we undertook a visual design overhaul, incorporating vibrant colors, engaging graphics, and interactive elements to create a more dynamic and visually appealing experience. Our strategy focused on crafting a seamless user journey where the enhanced branding and visual design effectively narrate the story of Pin Depot.
